Tayga Byte is a Malaysian software consultancy run by one senior engineer. It builds internal systems, custom web applications and SaaS platforms for organisations that still rely on spreadsheets and manual work, along with business websites.
Who runs Tayga Byte
Tayga Byte is run directly by Mahathir, its founder and senior software engineer, with close to 10 years of production software experience — including Java and backend systems, payment-related systems and custom business applications. There is no layer of account managers between you and the person building the system.
Product work
Recent product work includes MyKhairatPro, a multi-tenant platform designed to help Malaysian surau and masjid manage member records, contributions and khairat-related administration. It is currently under product development and validation, and is built with Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL and Vue 3 on Docker/VPS infrastructure.
How projects are handled
Every engagement follows the same sequence: an initial discussion, a requirements and process review, a written proposal, development you can see on a real URL, and a documented handover. Decisions and updates are communicated directly, in Bahasa Malaysia, English or both.
Ownership and continuity
Source code belongs to you and lives in a repository on your account. Domain, hosting and infrastructure are registered under your account, so you retain access and control regardless of who maintains the system later. Deployment details and handover documentation are written down.
